From the earliest records of time there were written predictions, the Bible calls them prophecies, of the coming of one who would change the world and bring about the most significant transformation ever known to the human race, the like of which man still has no understanding. A change so spectacular and powerful it would change not only the human race but the spiritual world as well; the universe would never be the same, indeed the power that would be unleashed would affect many ages to come.

Man was created in innocence! He did not need clothes or riches to secure his future, he did not need to worry about tomorrow for he had God to care for his every need and God would come in the cool of the day to walk and talk with him. There was no sorrow or pain, he did not have to overcome obstacles so he could grow and learn. Life was simple! But was simple enough to fulfill man's destiny? No doubt there have been many who would have said that simple was good enough but then what about the millions who would have claimed that man should have a much greater destiny? Was not man made in the very image of the all powerful creator? Should he not have a much greater destiny? If he had known the pain and suffering that would have to be endured would his choice still have been to reach for this greater thing or just maybe he would have chosen to 'keep it simple.' Thankfully God knew what was best for him.

God's plan was to bring man to a higher level. Man was to be created in the image of God. Without the wisdom and understanding of God he could never fulfill his destiny so the knowledge of good and evil was allowed to be introduced into man's destiny. What a great destiny God has designed for him, a destiny he could never imagine. It was a destiny that someday would mean not just taking care of a garden but overseeing a universe.

To allow sin to enter would require much sacrifice. Man would have to suffer many things including death of the body; he would have to earn his living by the sweat of his brow. To learn the consequences of sin would require a great deal of sacrifice but without pain, suffering and sacrifice how could man grow in the image he was created? The perfectly created world would have to suffer also for sin to have its desired effect on man. The creator would also have to suffer much in this process, for the process to bring about God's perfect plan for mankind God must endure and sacrifice the most. He must take upon Himself pain, suffering and sin, something the holy God of eternity had never known. He would have to give up an essential part of Himself that had been with Him forever, for the perfect plan to come to fruition and bring about redeemed man, a man who could live with a perfect and righteous God in Heaven.

In order for man to become redeemed there must be a redeemer and that redeemer must present the perfect holy sacrifice. There was only one who could fulfill the requirements --- The Impossible King! It had to be the one who was a part of all there is from the very beginning; the Holy one who spoke all things into being. The Word would be required to give the sacrifice. The Father knew there was no other way; He would have to give up the very essence of Himself to bring about redeemed man so that the time could arrive when again they could walk in the cool of the day in fellowship. But oh so much more than just walk in fellowship, a day would arrive where God's creation could change the complete nature of the universe.

The plan was set in motion and sin was introduced. Pride was allowed to enter into the heart of Lucifer the most beautiful of God's creation, the covering Cherub, the one who led the angels in praise and worship among the brilliant stars of the heavens. Yes, another dearly loved creation would have to be sacrificed for the plan. The angel of light, the son of the dawn, the one best fit for the task at hand would have to fall. The job of bringing sin into the universe couldn't be trusted to just any angel.

'FOR THOU HAST SAID IN THINE HEART, I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN, I WILL EXALT MY THRONE ABOVE THE STARS OF GOD.' Isaiah 14:13
