Now we come to the first prophecy of the coming of The Impossible King.
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thy seed and her seed; it shall
bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
It (the seed of woman) shall bruise thy head
Bible scholars consider this the first messianic prophecy in the Bible. We also find
the first hint of the Virgin birth since the Messiah would come from the seed of a woman, not a man.
In this first prophecy of Jesus, the Messiah, God prophecies the doom of Satan by
the bruising or crushing of his head. Satan was, in his own prideful thinking, triumphant over
Jesus with the cross. But he failed! In attacking Jesus he unknowingly brought to fruition God's
plan and made his own defeat a certainty. And we wonder why God keeps some mysteries to Himself
and doesn't tell us everything.

And thou (Satan) shall bruise His heel
Jesus, by leaving His throne and glory and taking on human flesh and blood,
brought himself into Satan's domain (earth) so Satan could bruise His heel which was fulfilled
by Christ's crucifixion on the cross. Though I am not one who goes for the gross details, I know
there are those who insist on them. I have been told that when crucifying a person one foot is
placed on top of the other before driving the nail in. That done, in order to take a breath the
one being crucified must push up with the heel of the foot on the bottom which bruises it.
Fulfilling of prophecy is not always pretty but is always required.
We also find in this verse God's plan for His creation. God's plan wasn't set
back by the sin of Adam and Eve, it was fulfilled! God's plan was to bring forth a greater creation
than innocent man. God's plan was to bring forth Redeemed Man.
Redeemed Man, a being so much greater than innocent man, was only possible
because innocent man had sinned and now required redeeming which of course required a perfect
sacrifice, the Messiah.
This verse also reveals three essential truths: 1. Satan is the enemy of the human
race. 2. God would place a spiritual barrier between thy seed Satan's followers and her seed, God's
people. 3. That the seed of the woman (Christ) would deliver the deathblow to Satan.
The atoning death of the Messiah on the cross opened the doors of heaven for all
who have sinned to receive forgiveness of those sins and receive eternal life along with an
incorruptible eternal body. Jesus, the Christ or Messiah, is our kinsman redeemer who by His shed
blood on the cross bought back all that was lost in the garden and a whole lot more, but only for
those who wanted what was lost in the garden.
