In Part #1, we learned that God made the earth, plants and trees, the ocean creatures and then the land animals and the birds.
When He saw how good everything was He said let us make man, we shall make him in our own image and he shall be like us and
help take care of the world we have made. God brought all the animals to the first man who He called Adam and had Adam
name all the animals.
Adam talked to and took care of the animals but he became lonely because he had no one like himself so
God put Adam to sleep. He took one of Adams ribs and made woman whom He called Eve. This made Adam very happy because now he
had a mate and helper that he could talk and laugh with.
Adam and Eve were very happy. God provided everything they needed and they took care of the animals and the beautiful garden
God had made for their home. There were many trees and plants that produced fruits and many other good things to eat. In the
middle of the garden there was a tree whose fruit produced the knowledge of good and evil when eaten. God told them they were
not to eat of this fruit because if they did they would lose their innocence and evil would be brought into the world.
For a long time Adam and Eve lived in the garden taking care of everything for God and each day God would come walk and talk
with them sharing their experiences and enjoying the life He had given them.
Life was beautiful and Adam and Eve learned to love each other very much. They also learned to love God and they saw how much
He loved them and every day was perfect in the garden.
Please join us next week as we explore what happens next and discover God's plan for Adam and Eve.
