Behold He Comes! Riding on the Clouds!

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 KJV 13but I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning
them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God
bring with him.
15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the
coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with
the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet
the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
How big is your God? Do you believe that He created you from the dust of the earth?
Do you believe that He created you with an eternal soul? Do you believe that Jesus died as payment for
your sins then rose from the dead to defeat death? Do you believe that the Bible is the word of God given
by the Holy Spirit? If you can answer "YES" to the above questions then you know He has promised to return
for His elect and take them to be with Him forever in heaven.
John 14:1-4 1Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's
house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there
ye may be also. 4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Being a student of God's word and a prophecy watcher I wake up each morning knowing we are one day
closer to seeing God's promise coming to fruition. What a blessed time we live in, to be the generation
that sees the fulfillment of God's promise, to know that at any time now He could appear in the clouds
and call us to "come up hither." We will leave these corruptible bodies behind and be given new incorruptible
bodies that will never know pain or sorrow again. Our sin will vanish away for there can be no sin in heaven
and be assured that's where we will be.

The sovereign God of creation has never broken a promise, indeed He cannot for He is
Holy and righteous. We know that God wrote history in advance then saw to it that every prophecy came true
100% of the time; just like the over 300 prophecies of the coming of the Messiah written in the Old Testament
which He then brought about with the birth, life, death and ascension of Christ to heaven after His crucifixion.
Yes, we have waited almost 2,000 years for some of the New Testament prophecies to come to fulfillment due to
God's love for His children and His desire that ALL come to salvation through His Son. But without that 2,000
year wait we could not have been included in those who will spend eternity with Him. I praise God for His
longsuffering so I could be included.

In studying the words of Jesus about His return while answering the disciples'
question of what will be the signs of His coming we find that again all prophecies have been fulfilled:
Mark 13:4-13 KJV 4Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign
when all these things shall be fulfilled?
5And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
6For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
7And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars be ye not troubled: for such things must
needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
8For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be
earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
9But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues
ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
10And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye
shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye:
for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
12Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children
shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
13And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the
end, the same shall be saved.
We could be just days from the beginning of the tribulation where the world will
suffer through great trials of famine, darkness and death. But those who endure will see the days of
Elijah return with all declaring the "Word" of the Lord; the return of the days of Moses with
"Righteousness" being restored and the return of the days of David "rebuilding a temple of praise."
